God of War Collection announced for PS3

Those surveys floating around on the internet a few months ago actually resulted in something substantial! Sony has announced that the first two God of War games will be remastered, and re-released on Bluray for PS3 this fall.

There's no new content in the game, but it will have improved, anti-aliased 720p graphics, and trophy support, perhaps Platinum trophies for each game! Earlier in August a spokesperson from Sony said that they "Will never have PS2 backwards compatibility again", so perhaps this will be a way for them to make a quick buck for gamers awaiting the release of a new game in a Sony franchise.
