Activision proclaiming that Modern Warfare 2 has sold more than $1 Billion dollars in worldwide sales, clearing half of that in the first 5 days of sales on the market.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has exceeded our expectations and shattered theatrical box office and video game records. There are only a handful of entertainment properties that have ever reached the $1 billion mark, which illustrates the power of the Call of Duty franchise and mass appeal of this game. In its first five days alone, the game sold an estimated $550 million worldwide, outpacing five-day worldwide theatrical box office gross figures for such films as Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Dark Night."

Best Buy has announced that they will have more than 500 stores open on midnight for the Modern Warfare 2 launch. There is a list on their website with links to the store locators to get directions to the store.

Specialty retailers like GameStop will of course be open as well for the launch and 24/7 stores like Wal-Mart will be open as well.

The Game Launches on November 10th at Midnight.
