I had a funny run in with a GSP (Georgia State Trooper) this evening at Burger King. I was having a bad hair day and wore my coat with a hoodie on it with the hoodie up. Not exactly common, but not unheard of either.
We placed our order and went to go sit down and wait for it. They were taking for ever to get our order up, so I go up to the counter to ask what's up with it. The GSP trooper walks in I guess for his lunch break or what not, and starts to give me these hard looks. I'm wondering WTH, maybe he recognized me or something. That was what was going through my head any way.
Then I remembered, I'm a 6'8" guy, with a thick overgrowth of unshaved beard, and hoodie coat pulled up over my head. I look pretty rough. He kept giving me the eye, the whole time he was in there, and when he goes to leave, he asks me if everything is alright. I almost burst out laughing when he did. He sat in the parking lot for a few minutes, and then did a slow drive around the parking lot before he left.
The whole incident was fairly humorous to me, and nobody else in the restaurant seemed to notice. It is the little things that matter I guess.
